Rehearsal day is for violin students only and is also not needed for those students who will be performing in the 3pm “A Celebration of Bach” recital as that entire recital will be unaccompanied.
Please note that recital rehearsals are usually the Saturday before the recital, but due to scheduling conflicts with our pianist, this time only they are on Sunday, March 8th.
Let me know as soon as possible if you have any time constraints that day, and I will be assigning rehearsal times to each student. Students will be assigned time slots between 5 and 15 minutes long depending on the length and needs of their piece. Please arrive 5 minutes before your assigned time. Send your child in quietly so they can unpack and be ready to rehearse as soon as the previous student is finished.
These rehearsals go by quickly, but the experience of working with a professional pianist, and the preparation that is done on this day, are both absolutely integral parts of the students’ learning and development, and their preparation for the performance.
Students do not need to wear their recital clothing for their rehearsal, but they may if they wish to practice in their performance clothes.
